Another weekly training meeting but this time K had some news, he sat in the usual meeting spot, a sun soaked clearing near the base of a mountain just outside, K sat on a bench of worn stone in the peacefulness of the clearing, feeling no need to be discrete he pulled out his shamisen, the instrument fitting as naturally in his capable hands as an artists brush or surgeons scalpel, but as relaxed as one might hold a good book or a cold drink, he was a musician truly at home with his instrument, his metal fingers poised at the strings, with a few simple movements notes poured from them out in to the air in perfect harmony, the metal on metal and ration chakra through the strings amplified the instrument to create a vibrant, fantastic melody where there had only been dead silence before, K turned over the news in his head while he played, his thoughts interrupted by one of his students, always punctual and level headed, Alina’s blond hair was shaded by an open umbrella, her blue eyes looking in to his sunglasses.
K addressed her in a friendly tone “hello again Alina, have you been practicing?” Alina nodded and said simply “the new umbrella is fascinating, but what really interests me are the seals on it, where did you get them?” K smiled “well actually, before we talk about that I have some news, its regarding your team-mate, Daikomaru” he began, his voice taking a more serious tone “it seems that due to a mistake in the roster and some placement mistakes he was not suppose to be placed in our squad, we’re meeting the ninja we were suppose to be assigned today” Alina took a seat on the ground propping up her umbrella with a shoulder her tone rather nonchalant “Radish boy’s not going be around? that’s to bad…” she didn’t really know what to say, as shed bearly known him a few days, still it was news to her. K paused a moment “I haven’t been told who the replacement would be yet, just that he will be showing up today” Somewhere in the distance, a bird cawed and, as if that was his cue, K resumed playing his shamisen, the song echoing across the clearing once again.

A figure rushed towards the Team K meeting space, and arrived rather quickly. "K-sensei, I'm so sorry..." a breathless voice gasped, as its owner leaned against a nearby boulder for support. "I hope... I haven't... held you up..." He took a deep breath, adjusting his bandanna. Noah Ze'ev bowed towards K and Alina, finally catching his breath. "So, so, so sorry..." He groaned and plopped to a crosslegged sitting position, breathing deeply. The agitation had aggravated the seal, and its activation was not necessary right now.

Nieuse was late for the meeting. He had been distracted by a tall mountain. When he found it, he knew he just had to climb to the top and see what the new vantage point had to offer. As he slowly scaled up the wall, he heard the sound of running. He turned his head for just a moment and saw a figure dash past his field of vision. He was shocked and fell down to the ground. As soon as he realized the running man was a ninja, he remembered he was headed to an important rendevouz. How silly he felt that he was too distracted to show up on time to his first day in a squad. He had one hope; perhaps he wouldn’t leave a bad impression. Nieuse jogged to the clearing, where he saw a familiar person sitting down. For a few moments Nieuse wondered where have I seen him before? He scratched his head for a moment before waving to the strange man and his two companions. He looked at the others and realized one was definitely the one and only K. So, the other two were in K’s squad. Nieuse greeted his new comrades eagerly. “Hey, K-sama, are you going to be my sensei?” Nieuse exhaled a heavy, excited sigh and continued, “I’ve never been in a squad before, and I know if you lead this team it’ll be kickass.” Nieuse gasped and then bowed low to the ground, touching his nose to the dirt, “I’m so sorry I haven’t introduced myself yet. I am Nieuse Estrite, nice to meet all of you.” Nieuse was far more excited than he should’ve been, but it was the first real day of his career as a ninja and he wanted it to be a good one.

K smiled simply “yes I think so, welcome aboard Nieuse, you can call me K-sen if you like, and no Noah its no trouble, were the weights slowing you down? Well anyway we were just starting as you came in” He rested his hands on his instrument and took a moment to look the newcomer over, he was another taller boy for his age, he carried a very rare object for a ninja to have, a fishing rod, but then again Ks shamisen was likely not considered standard ninja gear either. “well, lets get to know everyone again shall we?”
Alina spoke ever so frankly, her voice calm and friendly but not exactly warm “Hello, you can call me Alina, I’m the squad captain, my specialties are the storm release and kenjutsu, I enjoy drawing” her quick, simple, concise and oddly planned out description of herself showed just how prepared and diligent she was, though perhaps this was just because she was meeting someone new.

A woman carrying what looked like buckets of water sat down nearby. Though this woman was more of a girl. And the buckets were empty. She also seemed familiar.

Noah sighed as he continued to focus: as soon as he was confident the seal was adequately suppressed, he replied. "K-sensei, I am used to the weights at this point: I wanted to await your permission before increasing the weight... may I?" He scratched his head at the arrival of Nieuse, confused. "Where's Daikokumaru? Isn't he supposed to be here?" He hadn't arrived in time to hear K's original explanation, so he was sort of not in the know... "I'm... Noah Ze'ev..." He really didn't know what he was supposed to do... especially when a vaguely familiar woman appeared. "Um... hello?"

"Oh! Hi Noah. Great day, huh?" The girl came over, possibly in disguise or just not properly clothed for her age group.

K seemed to become a bit uncomfortable "ahem, well now that we all know who we are maybe we should have an exercise in team building to show off what we've learned..." it was unclear weather he was ignoring the woman or simply moving on "for this exercise you will need to collaborate to pass, teamwork is just as important as your individual talents" Alina stood up and collapsed her umbrella, holding it over her shoulder and looked attentively at K-sen and her team mates as K whent on "this time I wont be using summoned eels to test you, this time you'll be practicing against a real shiobi opponent, myself. Your goal is simple..." he said sliding his sunglasses down his forehead on to his nose "take my shades off" he finished with a smile, sealing his shamisen in a scroll and putting it away in his robe "I will warn you though, I intend to counter attack" Alina adopted a serious expression and with her free hand reached in to the pocket of her raincoat "Ready? Set? Go!"

“There were eels last time? Aw man.” Nieuse was disappointed he had missed the previous training session, but he was going to make up for his tardiness with zeal. Nieuse wanted to impress his team-mates with a boast “I have to warn you…” but he quickly realized he was probably the weakest ninja on the team and changed his tone to a far less proud one, “I’m not gonna hold back at all.” Those words had been spoken and it was time to begin the battle… No wait, Nieuse needed a plan. He called out to his teacher, “Can we have a five minute preparation break before we start fighting?” Nieuse lazily grabbed his fishing pole from behind his back and then gestured to his teammates, “We can’t just rush in there. Last time I rushed in anywhere, my ass was kicked... hard. You guys do stuff, I do stuff, and maybe if we do stuff at the same time the stuff will work better…” Perhaps if Nieuse was better at articulating his ideas his suggestion would’ve sounded as logical as it was. Come on, get a good plan, kid Nieuse thought to himself, but he found his thoughts drifting. Eels, eels seem cool. No, get back to business. We need to take his glasses. I have a fishing pole that takes things. Maybe I should take his glasses with my fishing pole… Nope, too obvious. Maybe he wouldn’t expect it if I didn’t take his glasses with my fishing pole. Yeah. I won’t take his glasses with the pole. BRILLIANT. Nieuse collected his thoughts and was almost ready for action, but he had one question to ask, “Say, who’s the team captain?”

Noah removed his claws from his belt, tossing them aside. "Nieuse... Alina is captain, she just said that..." He crouched down onto all fours, before saying, "Alina, you've got a plan... right?" He ripped off the weights on his legs, murmuring, "Please let this have helped..."

Alina stood with her team mates in a small group aside from their sensei, who was simply standing there in the open. “the last times we trained we relyed entirely on ourselves, this time were going to need to back each other up, Noah, I want you to engage sensei, keep him busy but don’t go after the sunglasses yet, just continually attack as fast as you can, you’ve been training for speed right? Just be careful not to get hit, you only need to keep him on his toes. However K-sen is more experienced than that so to keep him from counterattacking you I will cover your attacks from further back with projectiles and ninjutsu…” she turned to the new teammate, genuinely unsure of his abilities “okay, and… Nieuse was it? What ever tool you have there seems ideal for retrieving things from a distance and pulling them toward you, if that’s what that can do Id like you to just stand back and look for an opening while Noah and I keep him busy, when you find that opening I want you to snatch the glasses, K-sen will probably be at his most vulnerable when he’s fully engaged in fending off our constant attacks, we’ll draw his attention, does that work for everyone?”
K stood ready to begin, his students were off a ways away planning, that much was key to teamwork, he was glad that they weren’t just rushing in to things like before but in a real battle situation they’d have no time to plan and he would have fled or attacked by now, it was an improvement in one way but in another it signified that they still had a way to go as a team. K noticed that Noah had removed his weights already “Oh? Looks like you’ve gotten serious, lets see how you’ve improved, ready when you are”

“I have an idea for the top-secret plan!” Nieuse blurted out eagerly, raising his right hand up in the air at the same time, “I think that maybe grabbing something with a hook would be a little obvious…” He felt nervous; he wasn’t the team captain and yet he was suggesting a plan “What if…” Nieuse lowered the volume of his voice to a whisper so only Noah and Alina could hear him talk, “I pretend to go for the glasses and hit him with my knock-out gas bobber? That way he won’t expect the strike coming and then he’ll be too stunned to protect his shades…” His voice shook a little, “your plans good too though.” It was his first mission and Alina had put him in the most important role for the skirmish. If the squad failed to get the glasses he didn’t want it to be his fault, especially on his first day. It was time for Nieuse to psych himself up for battle. He reached into his pouch and withdrew the bobber, softly gripping it with his left hand while he clutched his fishing pole with his right. He was going to win this; no, his team was going to win this. If his two teammates could keep a ninja like K distracted they surely had the ability to make up for any failures on his part. There wouldn’t be failures though, Nieuse thought, because he was a real ninja. He raised his voice to his team and said, “I’m ready if you guys are.” With that statement he backed a few feet away rapidly, creating a safe distance to prepare his attack from and observe the battle. He quickly shifted his eyes toward K. His opponent was rather crafty in his own right; Nieuse was left wondering what tricks his teacher had hidden up his sleeves and also what his teammates hand saved up for this brawl.

"Nieuse... nice idea, maybe if... Alina's plan.... doesn't work, we can try yours... right?" He took a deep breath, pushing his bandanna further down on his head. "Time to run." He ran in an arc as fast as possible, arcing around to K's left. He quickly sent out a sweeping kick around to K's back, attempting to distract him from whatever Alina might throw at him. He stayed light on his feet, ready to leap away should it be required.

“Do what ever works but make sure not to hit Noah with collateral damage” With that Alina hoped backward and drew a small handful of kunai, her needles would be to numerous and would risk hitting Noah, she wouldn’t be able to use her umbrella but she would be able to use a small number of carefully kunai at a time, thankfully shed been practicing her kunai throwing immensely since their first training game, she took careful note of where her team mates were before flicking her hand out suddenly sending them flying to K’s right to cut off his exit from Noah’s kick and a second aimed at the left of K’s shoulder. With her free hand she un-summoned her umbrella returning it to its scroll so that she could draw a handfull of shuriken while throwing the kunai, there would be no lapse between throws, she could throw projectiles efficiently and expertly with either hand from her training.
For K attacks coming from multiple sides were nothing new, but he was impressed with their level of co-ordination, he had time to say “your speeds really improved Noah” before placing one hand on the tanto on his left hip turning his body and lifting it from its sheath so that the metal cap on the butt of the handle collided with Noah’s kick which sent him falling back away from the second kunai and toward the first where he had only to extend his metal hand to avoid being hit by it, the clang of steel on steel as he blocked the blade with his prosthetic was followed by the click of the sword being put back in its sheath the rest of the way, he’d barely moved at all but he shifted his free hand down to catch the kunai as it fell twirl it around in his metal fingers, surprisingly dexterous.
Alina had noticed something the others might not have, the path of the kunai had arced in to Ks hand, specifically at the gem in the center of the metal, how was this possible? Though she knew his hands would be his fastest method of blocking he only had two, meaning if they stepped up their game and attacked faster he wouldn’t be able to block all the attacks with his hands at once, simultaneous attacks would be key here. Alinas thoughts were interrupted as her own kunai flew from K’s hand toward Nieuse, reacting fast she flung a shuriken in to the kunais path deflecting it away from her team mate, displaying an impressive accuracy K smiled “and to be able to hit a moving kunai with your shuriken, that’s impressive improvement from you as well Alina, you’ve made your formation stronger by covering both team mates at once, did you triangulate that way on purpose, with each team mate being able to see each other? It seems that you don’t have as many openings as I thought” he was remaining oddly positive in the face of a competition, not even bothering to point out that he’d blocked the attacks. He knew he was right to appoint her squad captain, shed been able to direct the group to form that plan with out so much as an argument or miscommunication among them.

Nieuse watched the kunai sling right towards him without as much as flinching. He remembered his orders; wait for an opportunity to take K’s glasses. For the plan to work he had to completely trust his teammates capabilities, and he did. Not for a moment did Nieuse believe he was in any danger; he somehow knew Alina would protect him without even the slightest form of communication. As her shuriken collided with the knife mid-flight his beliefs were confirmed. Alina guarded Noah from harm as well; as soon as Nieuse saw her leap into action, he was glad she was the team captain. He was in capable hands. Nieuse thought back to the way K blocked Alina’s attack; there was something suspicious about it, something exploitable. He needed to test K once before he would make his move. The experiment was simple, but absolutely necessary to his scheme. Hopefully he wouldn’t ruin the plan by acting now, but he needed to see how his opponent would respond to his attack before he could pilfer his glasses. Nieuse carefully placed the red sphere back into his pouch, making sure not to trigger its mechanism. As he did so he sized up K’s defenses. He needed to find the right target for his first strike, a weak point of sorts. A thought went through Nieuse’s head quickly and he suddenly had figured out where to focus his meat hook on. He knew a few things about K-sensei already, and those facts made him nervous. It was time for a trick and a technique, used in conjunction. Chakra flowed through Nieuse into the fishing pole and line, strengthening it as he used his weapon chakra flow technique. Soon he would launch forth his weapon at K in a valiant attempt to open him up for an attack.

Noah spun when the tanto collided with his kick. He landed lightly on his feet, before quickly shooting back into action. Alina was mostly aiming for K's top half, so Noah would have to go for his bottom half. He spun lightly, springing forward to bring his foot in a arcing kick at K's shins, hoping it could debilitate K a bit.

Alina held a kunai in her left hand and a shuriken in another, if she couldn’t throw projectiles directly shed have to get crafty. Taking her right arm and bending it upward at a ninety degree angle she held the kunai so that the point was facing upward and held the shuriken horiontally in her other arm, bent to the left so that her right wrist was above her left upper arm. Her forearms perpendicular to each other, then, concentrating intensely she flung her left arm forward and down and her right arm upward and strait simultaneously releasing the projectiles at exactly the right time; the kunai flew at an upward angle and at a slower speed than the shuriken which flew strait above it, then as they reached K the kunai hit the shuriken causing it to change direction and turn downward toward K’s shoulder, the shuriken falling a distance away and landing harmlessly on the ground.
“your getting faster…” K had less time to react but all he had to do was lean forward to duck the kunai and allow Noah’s kick to connect with his armored shin-guards, caring not to deploy their hidden spikes. Then K drew a kunai of his own as he stooped lower, making use of the movement to facilitate a faster draw, his metal hands were able to form a few hand seals while holding the kunai, he was preparing some kind of jutsu.

Nieuse had readied his attack, and he waited for the perfect moment. His target was getting distracted by his team-mates strikes, but surely K hadn’t forgotten him. He needed a different target now, as Noah had moved in the way. K was focused mostly on keeping Noah off him; Nieuse was going to target K’s other side. He flung the meat-hook toward K’s left knee with a mighty swing. The wire snapped tight and followed the hooks path. The trajectory seemed to be a few inches off; K could easily do nothing and avoid the strike; however, this move was not a blunder. His plan might have been amateur but Nieuse knew full well what he was doing. He slowly brought the fishing pole to the left and as he did the wire subtly moved closer to K; still not close enough to harm him, the meat-hook was definitely going to pass K if he didn’t stop it. Nieuse planned on this; otherwise he had only a cheap trick and his allies as back up. Nieuse’s biggest worry was that K could somehow destroy his fishing line. It’d be a pain in the ass to retrieve his meat-hook and attach it to another line, which he then would have to string back onto the pole. Without his weapon he had only a few water jutsu and some basic fighting stick techniques, and worse yet, the team’ original plan didn’t work without his fishing rod. He thought of a back-up plan just in case worst came to worst. He’d rush in and try to draw K’s attention with the thought that his attacks would keep K on his toes. Nieuse enhanced his rod’s durability with an increase in chakra; now not only were the wire and hook dangerous weapons, but he had a strong club. He didn’t want to charge K, but if the team needed it he’d do it.

"Gah!" Noah gasped, reversing his leg's momentum to carry his leg around in a full circle. Hopefully his momentous kick could knock K off his feet, and somehow help Alina and Nieuse... and stop K from using his jutsu. "Be prepared to disengage, he's gonna do something if this doesn't work!" Noah yelled, for once his voice solid and unimpaired. His feet hurt from hitting some armor on K's shins... he hoped that wouldn't impair him that much.

Alina followed the path of the hook, it wasn’t anywhere near the sunglasses but she recognized the hooks priority, producing a handful of shuriken she channeled lightning chakra to her hand “current jutsu” she said simply before fanning them out in her palm like a hand of cards and tossing them in a line so that they spread out flying toward K’s head and torso, an electrical current being maintained between them to add to their speed and offensive capability.
Suddenly K noticed a slight movement out of the corner of his eye, a hook on a wire, how clever, being a wire user himself he had already trained his eyes to keep track of the thin cords, pushing back with one foot and up with the other he was able to vault both over the kick and under the shuriken by a hair, his body rotating slightly as this happened, “to late, lightning hummingbird jutsu” he let the kunai in his hand slide down to the ground where it strangely stopped just an inch before the hook as it nearly landed, a strange humming noise coming from it, the hum of electrical current, as the hook was passing it the kunai with one of K’s wires attached resounded in an electrical flash of light, lightning around the kunai taking the shape of a hummingbird as he landed, which itself flipped backward catching the hook against the handle of the kunai before flying upward to hover before K as he stood a distance behind them “I will say that it was difficult to notice at first, your tool” the current running down the fishing line, though that was simply a side effect “were you planning on taking my sunglasses with this? That’s pretty clever of you” he said with a smile, somehow even now K-sen seeming so detached, calm and supportive, he was a rather odd ninja to be sure.
