It was true, the movement of the Kusarigama wasn’t quite as fast, but there wasn’t too much difference. Her super-human strength kept the weapons rotating at a pretty high velocity through the water as she approached Guro. She could see him calculating—formulating a plan to get him out of this sticky situation. Grinning maliciously, she bore down on him, bringing him closer to the center of the water dome.
Although she was sure he would pass out from lack of oxygen first, she would like to deal some heavy damage to the Jounin. He had mentioned the only family member that seemed to get any sort of attention, despite his nefarious and dark nature. He was a pariah, a disgrace to the family name and she hated to be compared with him. With a muffled cry, she let one Kusarigama fly towards his head and the other towards his knees. True, the movement of the Kusarigama wasn’t quite as fast, but neither was his.

Guro saw the Kusarigama's ends approaching fast, Guro brought up his katana in a reverse grip to block the scythe, even with his speed, Guro knew he couldn't move to hit the weighted end fast enough, thinking fast, Guro brought up his gloved fist into the path of the Kusarigama.
The blunt end impacted on Guro's fist, even with it's sluggishness, the weapon managed to resound off the steel plate on the back of the glove, Guro was pretty sure that his middle knuckle was cracked slightly, Guro groaned in pain, he needed to break this Jutsu and fast.
Guro moved back towards the trees again, trying to disguise it as a tactical retreat, he just needed her to move into the trees a little more, and then with any luck, the Jutsu would break or at least be disrupted enough for him to escape it.

Fumiko followed him, but only for so long. Tree branches entered the field of the jutsu and she could feel it waver from her control. Knitting her brows together, she retreated, keeping her eye on Guro. Backing up slowly towards the middle of the lake, she sat cross legged, waiting for him to come back. Either she’d have to break the jutsu, or he would have to risk drowning to continue on with their battle. It was a matter of will, and Fumiko was more than confident that hers was stronger.
“Slippery little monkey isn’t he?” Kizaru mused as he surfaced next to Fumiko. Without any sort of visible acknowledgment towards the shark, she replied softly.
“He’s fast, and he learns quickly.” She said, “I can see why the hidden leaf trusts him with such a big task, but he’s still no match for me.” Rumbling a laugh, Kizaru swam back below the surface of the water and left Fumiko, still holding the jutsu—waiting for her opponent to make his next move.

Guro saw Fumiko retreat from the trees, his theory had been correct, the Jutsu was disrupted by the branches, and now he had the advantage, Guro swam backwards towards the edge of the sphere. Fumiko would have to either let him go or break the Jutsu and go after him with a more directly offensive Ninjutsu.
Guro reached the edge of the sphere, he waited for Fumiko to make the next move, but he noticed the water was less dense ashe got further away from the centre, Fumiko's chakra co ncentration would be stronger the closer it was to her, meaning the water would be thicker, but here at the edge, his movement wasn't as restricted, Guro used his speed to draw a Kunai knife and Paper Bomb, disguising it as a move to keep him balanced in the water.
Guro wrapped the Papaer Bomb around the Kunai's handle, and added a Chakra Edge to the knife, as Guro predicted, the water moved away from the solid chakra, allowing the kunai to move much more freely, Guro had hatched a plan.
"Ok, let's view the options, she can't come near me without dispelling this Jutsu, and she doesn't seem like she wants to do that.
On the other hand, I can't get close to her as the water would be denser and I'd be a sitting duck, and it's likely her dome's outer surface is difficult to break through, thats probably helping her keep the water in shape.
I have to either force her to break the Jutsu, or cause enough sudden force in the dome to cause her to lose control, making it break against her will. This Kunai should do the trick."
Guro took the chakra edged Kunai and threw it into the dome, using his speed to gain momentum and the Chakra Edge to push the water away, but without Guro holding it, the Kunai's Chakra Edge was slowly thinning away.
Guro didn't have time to see if it had reached Fumiko, and even if it didn't the blast should be enough to at least disrupt the Jutsu long enough for Guro to escape, Guro made a Tiger handsign and detonated the bomb, all was silent for a moment before a loud explosion ripped it's way through Fumiko's Jutsu.

Watching Guro enter the jutsu, she watched him fiddle around, trying to keep his balance and attach a paper bomb to a kunai. He seemed so sure that she wouldn’t see him, it was almost sad to her. It was her over-confidence that urged her to pretend she hadn’t noticed. Slowly standing up and putting away her weapons, she stood poised and ready for whatever he was planning.
When he began running towards her, her eyebrow rose in slight confusion. Fumiko was sure he had attached a paper bomb to that kunai. Was it something else? Was it a kamikaze attack? Not quite sure what was going to happen, she stood ready for… something.
“…No!” she cried. The explosion had reached her. She had barely enough time to drop into the lake below, to cushion the blow, but it still came on pretty forcefully. A shower and spray of water still lingered in the air, covering the surrounding area, as she emerged from the water. She did not look amused in the least bit. Discarding the water-logged flak vest and tearing the long sleeves off of her shirt, she performed another round of handseals. “Water Release: Water Shark Missile Technique!” she screeched, sending a shark, shaped wave at Guro. It was beginning to become more and more serious to her. Externally, she looked enraged, but inwardly, this was the most fun she’d had in so long. Although, she wanted to win right now and get the fight over with already.

Guro backflipped with the blast, skidding along the water slightly as the Jutsu broke spectacularly. Fumiko's Water Shark Bomb Jutsu was approaching fast, and Guro saw his chance.
Guro quickly made a set of handsigns. Monkey, Boar, Rooster, Snake, Dragon, Horse and Tiger all in quick succession, Guro then spread his fingers out and pushed both hands in front of him, both index fingers and thumbs touching each other to make a rough diamond shape.
"Chaos Style! Chaotic Copy Jutsu!"
The area suddenly went negative, and just as suddenly as it happened, the area reurned to normal and Guro was still faced with a giant Water Shark Bomb bearing down on him, Guro leapt above the shark, the Jutsu exploded under him, the waves from the explosion knocking him back violently, Guro was able to right himself but landed heavily and fell to one knee, the downside to using chakra to walk on water was that it made it like concrete to land on.
Guro may have been hurt as a result of the Jutsu, but he had dodged the Jutsu itself, so would it work? Only one way to find out.
Guro stood up again and made the same handsigns Fumiko had made a moment ago, then slammed his hand onto the surface of the water, once again using chakra to make the surface solid, But Guro purposely made the concentration a little weak, creating a few ripples to give the impression of strength.
"Chaos Water Style! Chaos Water Shark Bomb Jutsu!"
Guro held his breath to see if the Jutsu had been copied, and what difference it had used to make it more powerful, Guro's Chaotic Copied Jutsu's always had a physical difference from the original to make it stronger, but Guro was unable to tell what this difference would actually entail.
((Since it's your character's Jutsu Fumiko, I'll leave the last word as to whether it's copied or not to you, seems a bit rude to do otherwise))

Fumiko gasped in spite of herself when she saw Guro return her jutsu. Tucking and rolling out of harm's way, she jumped back up in a low crouch and growled through clenched teeth. Copycat ninja. If there was anything she hated more than anything else in this world, it was copycat ninjas. That particular jutsu gave her a lot of trouble when she was learning it as a young girl. Then here comes this-- this lesser shinobi who picks it up in a mere, few seconds. It was enough to make her blood boil.
"You probably think you're really clever right now, don't you?" she spat, "Don't think you're out of the woods yet! Water Release: Burdock Root Eating Sharks!" Fumiko quickly made some more lightning-fast hand seals, creating a pillar of water, in hopes to launch her enemy into the air. Then she quickly released five water sharks aimed to attack Guro and devour him before imploding, then launching him into the air once more. The remaining water sharks would then surround him and force him under water where they should implode around him. She didn't even look to see if it had worked.
((You decide what part of the Jutsu hits you...if it does at all))

((I'm fair Fumiko, I'll allow some of the Jutsu to hit, since you didn't say any preference to the change that Guro's Chaotic Copy Jutsu would make I'll just think one up, I think I have to add it to my Jutsu thread now))
Guro watched the Jutsu fly towards fumiko, the shark was dramatically bigger than Fumiko's, and slightly darker, but it seemingly missed her, Guro groaned slightly in annoyance, the two Jutsu's together had taken a chunk out of his chakra, he had a huge enough amount to continue for a while yet, but even he had a limit.
His train of thought was cut short when Fumiko released another Jutsu, firing him into the air, Guro straightened himself out just as more water sharks came at him in mid air, Guro swung his katana at the first, slicing it's jaw apart, the second one came from behind, and grabbed on to Guro's left arm, Guro groaned at the pain, a third came from below, which guro quikly disposed of with a downward stab, impaling the creature.
The fourth came directly behind the third shark, hidden by the creature, the shark gripped onto Guro's right arm with it's jaw, making him bleed where the jaw cut into his skin, the fifth came straight on, and Guro was powerless as the shark bit into his waist.
The sharks suddely imploded, flinging Guro higher into the air, as Guro crested his rise and began to fall again, he saw even more sharks rising up above him and falling with him, Guro managed to right himself in mid air, and knew he had to react fast, holding his katana between his palms, Guro made a Tiger handsign and began calling on his chakra, which became visible as a swirling black mass that followed him as he fell like a jetstream.
"I didn't want to use this, but you've left me little choice, Ninja Art: Shadowstep!"
Guro backflipped so he faced the water head first and fell into the water, the sharks following quickly after, suddenly what appeared to be a black streak burst out of the water just before the sharks imploded, after barely a second the black streak reached Fumiko, returned to focus, and was revealed to be Guro, fist raised and ready to strike her.
Suddenly, Guro moved again just before he connected with Fumiko, the speed from his Jutsu meant he was instantly behind Fumiko, readying a kick from mid air, because of the speed he was going, Guro was unable to feel or even see clearly if his Jutsu would hit, so he simply executed the kick at what he believed to be Fumiko's midsection and then blasted off again, leaving a trail of disturbed water in his wake and hoping his attack had made contact.

Fumiko watched with the greatest satisfaction as her water sharks began tearing into her opponent. Incarnadine splashes colored the grey and green backdrop with each new laceration that was ripped into his flesh. In spite of herself, Fumiko laughed wickedly. It was a laugh that even she hadn’t heard in a long time, but hearing it now wasn’t necessarily a good thing either.
Guro wasn’t necessarily being kicked around out there either. It was impressive enough that he was really holding his own out there with one shark coming at him right after another. Mid-jutsu, he was able to regain control of his rapidly falling body in mid-air and cast a jutsu of his own. It was enough to make Fumiko tear her hair out. She was positive she had him with that last one she had cast.
“NO!” she wailed, as he dove into the water. Without any sort of hint or warning, a black blur sped towards Fumiko. For a slight moment, she could see Guro ready to strike. At this point, she didn’t think she’d have enough time to dodge it completely. Loudly grinding her pointed teeth together, she braced herself for impact.
As expected, the blow was extremely forceful. It was enough to put a normal man down for the count. Luckily, she wasn’t anything like a normal man. Although, what came unexpectedly to her, was the position of the blow. In those few seconds, she felt his leg connect with the small of her back, causing all sorts of damage internally. Before she could even blink, he darted off again, leaving traces of water, splashing high in opposite directions.
“Dammit!” she wheezed, falling to one knee. With a sharp, liquid bark, she coughed up a good amount of blood. Wiping the red liquid that remained on her mouth on the back of her hand, a deep guttural growl tore it’s way up her throat and out into the near-quiet air. Kizaru surfaced again, but he didn’t address her in such a jovial manner this time.
“You alright?” he asked, sounding like her worried father, “That was a nasty blow right there.” Grunting and standing back up to her full height, Fumiko narrowed her eyes in Guro’s direction. How could someone of a lower rank be this powerful? There was no way she could let him overpower her. That would label her as a weak kage. She had worked her whole life for this title! She wasn’t going to let him ruin it for her like this.
“I’m fine Kizaru.” She snapped, “I will finish off this miserable whelp once and for all after all he’s done. Water Release: Great Waterfall Technique!” Suddenly, a tower of water extended straight in front of her, surging and rising up to several dozen meters high. Then in one fell swoop, it crashed down in Guro’s current position in one big cascade, much like a gigantic waterfall. This jutsu was endowed with tremendous power that can hollow out the ground, and in this case, hopefully Guro’s head. It was a considerably advanced ninjutsu, and activating this technique required a fair share of chakra. Fumiko was starting to wear out. At this point, she prayed that it would hit him.

Guro was also getting rather tired, his repeated Justsu's were starting to take a toll on even his mighty reserves of chakra, he knew the quicker he ended this fight the better.
Guro dashed towards Fumiko again, but stopped when she used her Great Waterfall Jutsu, he had seen similar Jutsu and knew what they were capable of, he knew he had to avoid it somehow.
Guro dashed for Fumiko, the rapidly breaking tower of water falling around him, a chunk of water hit him on the shoulder with huge force, making Guro stumble and be visible, Guro continued to make for Fumiko, the chakra concentration in the specific muscles making them resilient to the crushing force of the water that he couldn't avoid.
Guro continued to make for Fumiko, his speed significantly reduced by constant beatings by the water he couldn't avoid.
Guro was inches from Fumiko when an especially large chunk of water bore down on him, Guro managed a blind swing at Fumiko with his katana, but quickly stopped using his chakra to walk on water in order to cushion the blow.
A few moments after the water subsided, Guro resurfaced, using his chakra to make the water solid under his hand to allow him to climb up to his hands and knees.
Guro was drenched and breathing heavily, several blunt force wounds were spread out on his body, and a superficial wound was bleeding from under his Chaos Village headband.
Guro tried to stand up, stumbling slightly, a drop of blood poured out of the corner of his mouth, he wiped it away with his thumb, still clutching his katana tightly, ready for whatever happened, it was then he broke into a quiet chuckle.
"I know what you think of me, A disgrace, I saw how you looked with disgust at my Chaotic Copy Jutsu, you think it's a disgusting Jutsu to use.
Well here's a little revelation for you, I am the only user of that Jutsu, it and my black chakra are the gifts I were awarded at birth, they are why I was chosen from hundreds, these are my Kekkei Genkai, the blood of the Katsuda clan flows in my veins, and I carry it with pride."
Guro pointed with his thumb to his Chaos headband, secretly rather surprised Fumiko seemed to not notice it.
"This is all I have left to remind me of what I was, where I came from and who's blood I bear. You have the luxury of being a ruler, that privilege was taken from me, that is why I will not die, and I will not lose without giving you the fight of your life, because I have something to look forward to.
The day I return to my home, and purge it of those who stole what was rightfully mine, is the day I shall rest, until then, I remind myself constantly of who I truly am, I am not a weakling, for I come from a Village that tolerated no weaklings, I am a Jonin, of the Village Hidden in the Chaos, and I will keep getting up until i collapse from exhaustion."
Guro started gathering chakra, condensing it until it became visible as a swirling black mass around him.
"I will not be brushed aside Fumiko, I shall give my everything to make sure that I am not a disgrace to my family name, so prepare yourself, for the Chaos Village lives on in me, and I shall show you it's fury."
Guro relaxed his grip on his katana and tightened it again, repeating this flexing motion a couple of times before sheathing his weapon, then making a Tiger handsign and using a Clone Jutsu, making two clones, which drew their weapons in synchronization to Guro.
Guro sent the two clones to attack Fumiko, and they reacted instantly, charging at her, while they made their attack in an attempt to distract her, the real Guro dashed in a wide arc around Fumiko so as to avoid detection as best as possible, then charge at her from behind using his fearsome speed to close the gap quickly.
Forcing more of his chakra to walk on water, he overloaded it, causing it to repel him violently, this combined with a well timed jump caused him to end up high in the air behind Fumiko, sword raised over his head, Guro descended, creating a rapidly increasing shadow, unable to see properly with his speed, he brought his sword down in a glittering arc, he did not bother with a Chakra Edge, he had to conserve what he could, and another half inch wouldn't do much right now.

Fumiko could have very well attacked Guro during his little monologue, but she figured it was a good time to catch her breath while he wasted his. Although she wanted to seem disinterested, the idea of a fallen hidden village piqued her interest. Somewhere in her memory, she could have sworn she knew something about the village hidden in the chaos. It just wouldn’t come to her. No matter, this useless prattle was starting to bore her. Indeed the boy had an interesting Kekkei Genkai, but it seemed the more missions she went on earlier on in her life, the more people like him she had found. More importantly, he was starting to make a fool of her. It didn’t matter what he said, that didn’t change the fact she really wanted to kill him right now.
She watched with an almost morbid fascination as her opponent was encircled about with black chakra. When Guro relaxed his grip on his katana and tightened it again, repeating this flexing motion a couple of times before sheathing his weapon, Fumiko took a defensive stance. It seemed to her that he couldn’t have too many tricks left, so if she could just manage to dodge this one, she’d take him out once and for all. Guro then made two clones, which drew their weapons in synchronization to Guro. Fumiko grinned maliciously to herself, if that’s all that he could come up with now, dispatching of him would be all too easy.
Guro sent the two clones to attack her, and they reacted instantly, charging at her. Fumiko caught that one of the Guros had sped off in another direction, likely to attack her from a different angle. There wasn’t enough time to do anything about it though. He was just too fast. At this point she had figured it would be better to be hit by one of him rather than multiples. At the last second, she pulled out her kusarigama and ripped through the clones with brute force and then she waited for the sting of Guro’s blade.
Blood spattered against her face… but it wasn’t hers. Fumiko was almost afraid to open her eyes, but with sheer force of will, she whipped around to see Kizaru, floating at her feet with a large gash in his side. A scream of outrage, terror, agony and all sorts of mixed emotions rang through the air. That woman who had bottled up all of her emotions all of her life, suddenly felt an explosion of those very emotions she fought so hard to erase.
“Kizaru!!!” she wailed, dropping down to his side. Her companion’s gills flexed sporadically as his good eye rolled back to look at her. It was simply painful to watch him try to pull the corners of his mouth back into his characteristic, toothy grin.
“Y-you really—ought to be quicker.” He said laboredly. Grinding her teeth together noisily, Fumiko stood up and pointed an accusatory finger at Guro.
“Unforgivable!” she screeched, “You’re going to pay for what you’ve done! Earth style: sphere of graves!” With chakra work and superhuman strength, Fumiko rapidly raised up the earthen surface the bottom of the lake. The form of the earth was positively gigantic even as it hardened. Her blue skin flushed purple in a fit of rage as she screamed, “I didn’t want to do this in the beginning, but you’ve left me no choice. Prepare to die!” With every ounce of strength in her body, she launched the ball of earth at Guro, knowing that if Guro was trapped underneath the form, he would be instantly flattened into something unrecognizable.
Kizaru was Fumiko’s only real friend and ally in this whole world. If he died protecting her, she would never forgive herself. Hopefully there was still time to save him, but if there wasn’t, she would be sure to avenge him to the best of her abilities. It was almost ironic that this whole thing started though friendly intentions of the Hidden Leaf. She’d be sure to give them a piece of her mind when all of this was said and done.

Guro saw the Sphere of Graves coming a mile off, but was stunned at it's sheer size, so much so he almost didn't realise it coming towards him, Guro sheathed his katana and held his arms out, channeling what chakra he had left into his arms and legs.
The Sphere connected, but did not crush Guro, in actuality, Guro was using the chakra to solidify himself against the boulder and hold it from bearing down on him, he and the boulder pushed against each other, blood was pouring from wounds on Guro's arms and legs.
"I will not fall short of my ambition, I will not DIE!
Guro roared and released all he had in one burst, the boulder shattered just as Guro's chakra concentration gave out, he fell to his knees and then onto his face, still keeping enough conciousness to keep himself from sinking.
Guro shakily and slowly started moving, trying as hard as he could to push himself upwards, eventually, he was able to stand up again, he slowly started to move towards Kizaru and Fumiko, stumbling as he walked, as he spoke his voice was hoarse and wavering.
"That's enough, I'm almost out of Chakra, and my legs and arms, they are useless to me without being healed, I surrender Fumiko, you have won, our fight is over, so now, I can turn my attention to a different service.
Guro reached into his bag slowly, and pulled out a scroll, a green body with yellow borders, Guro stood by Kizaru and unrolled the scroll, on it were all kinds of writings and Jutsus, all centered around a single character, meaning "Nature".
"The Leaf gave me this before I left, I guess they thought I would need it to use on myself, but I don't have enough chakra to use it on me, so I'll use it on something else."
Guro let the scroll fall, before it hit the ground it started to float in mid air, Guro shakily moved his hands up to make a Ram handsign, the Nature character started to glow bright green, Guro winced under the pain but kept his composure.
The glow started to take the form of healing chakra, a glowing green mass that swirled from the character, it held it's place for a moment before heading for Kizaru, the chakra flowed over the wound, the blood flaked away in black shavings, muscles replenished itself, and skin knitted itself together.
After half a minute, the chakra source depleted itself, the wound had been reduced to a superficial skin breakage, and it had already half scabbed over, Guro fell to one knee, and the depleted and useless scroll stopped floating, and sank beneath the waters.
"You'll find it's damned hard to kill me Fumi-Lady Mizukage, but I have to admit, you came pretty close to it. I'll be sure that the Leaf knows how strong you are for that peace book. I guess I can;t complain, I've gained a little extra for my arsenal, the Leaf gained some new peace, and I hope you gained a little enjoyment."
Guro fell onto one side, his breathing ragged and deep, he wasn;t in immediate danger of dying, and was able to keep his conciousness, but he found it incredibly difficult to move under his own power.
Guro had been able to keep the concentration of chakra high enough to stop himself from sinking, but he was a little low in the water, a testament to the depletion of even his mighty reserves.
Guro still had the blood on his thumb that he had wiped away from his mouth, two minutes had passed since then, and Guro had used all he had left to destroy the Sphere of Graves.
Suddenly, two Mist Village ninja and two Medical Ninja carrying a stretcher appeared, they surveyed the area and pieced together some of what happened.
"Mi'lady Mizukage, are you all right, we were worried that you might have been injured, so we brought a medical team just in case, we heard some powerful Jutsu and felt the presence of extremely high Chakra levels, we were worried this Leaf Ninja had done something to you."
The MIst ninja looked at Guro, Fumiko and Kizaru in turn, he pieced together that it was an intense battle.
"Lady Mizukage, orders?"
((Try not to kill him, I'm thinking with this Guro will have to stay in the Mist for a day or two to recover which should hopefully keep this thread going))

Fumiko watched in revered awe as Guro destroyed her Jutsu. It had almost taken up that last of her chakra reserves to conjure that up. She still had quite a bit left, and she was poised to make her last move until he surrendered. Under her own personal principal, she sighed heavily and dropped her stance. From what she could see, he was telling the truth. Sometimes she took her massive chakra pool for granted and it surprised her when her opponents ran out at a much quicker pace than she did.
Still silent, she watched him heal Kizaru. It was plain to see that the process caused him great discomfort, which made her smile wickedly. If she couldn’t kill him, he at least was atoning for all he’d done all on his own. How convenient for her. It was impressive what the Jutsu in the scroll had done though. Kizaru’s gills were moving at a more normal pace now, and the large gash was nothing but a long scab in his side. It wasn’t completely healed, but from the look of things, the now superficial wound would heal in a few days’ time. Blinking in a surprised manner, Kizaru tried his best to see the damage done, hummed disinterestedly and relaxed back into the water with a sigh.
The Mizukage couldn’t help but smile as she listened to Guro speak. True that Konoha would be able to sleep easier now with this out of the way, and in a strange and twisted way, she was very much satisfied with the entertainment this battle had provided for her. Even now watching Guro struggle to keep in control of his body filled her with a strange sense of enjoyment. For a while all was silent as she stood glowering over him, unable to think of what to say. Without warning, two of her Kiri ninja subordinates and two medical ninja carrying a stretcher appeared. This broadened her smile even more. She was proud of how efficient her shinobi had become under her rule as Mizukage.
"Milady Mizukage, are you all right? We were worried that you might have been injured, so we brought a medical team just in case. We heard some powerful Jutsu and felt the presence of extremely high Chakra levels. We were worried this Leaf Ninja had done something to you." One of them said, glancing back and forth between her, Kizaru and Guro.
"Lady Mizukage, orders?" one of the medical ninja asked, looking very concerned about Guro’s current condition. Sure she had sustained injuries during the battle, but Guro seemed to be in worse shape. Then again, that kick that he dealt her earlier was starting to catch up with her.
“Take him back to the village. We both need immediate medical attention.” She said after a long pause. Kizaru laughed jovially.
“Well, I guess I’m fine now. I’ll be off then!” he said, before disappearing into a puff of smoke. Fumiko grinned once more, before she sighed heavily, holding her stomach with one arm. Stooping down she picked up her Kusarigama by the scythe end and motioned with her head towards the village.
“Well? Get a move on.” She snapped, “I said immediate attention, not attention tomorrow. Let’s go!” Scrambling a bit, the medical ninja gently put Guro on the stretcher and hoisted him and started towards the village. The other two ninja rushed to their Mizukage’s side as she stumbled a bit. Sliding her arms over their shoulders, they helped her walk slowly but surely back to the village. Once back in the village at the infirmary, Fumiko didn’t remember much. There were doctors yelling things, needles and tubes being forced into her arms and up her nose and everywhere else. It was fuzzy, then… there was nothing for a long time.

At some point between being put on the stretcher and arriving at the hospital, Guro finally lost the battle to stay awake and lost conciousness. He didn't even register the loss of conciousness, to him, it was as if he merely blinked and had moved from the stretcher to a hospital bed instantly.
Guro tried to sit up, but his arms were still too weak to support his body, and the heavy bandaging and restricting wires and tubes all over his arms and legs only made it worse, he gave up and collapsed on the bed, a Mist Village nurse entered and looked at the various machines Guro was plugged into.
"Your recovering fast Leaf ninja, but her Ladyship did a lot on you, you'll be here for another day at least, and you won't be able to travel back to the Leaf for another day."
"Perfect, a day of staring at the cieling, I'd dance for joy if i wasn't integrated into these things."
"Well, try and get some rest, you'll not be doing much else for a while."
The nurse left and Guro stared directly above him, a definite look of boredom on his face, right now all he wanted to do was get up, put on his clothes and weapons which were folded on a chair next to him, find a restaurant, get a decent meal, and do something with himself.
Guro didn't even look to see if there was another bed in the room, he didn't really care too much either, he tried to move his arms but all they did was shake if he tried to move at all,Guro eventually gave up and looked over to the pile of his clothes, on the top, his Chaos Headband gleamed in the light.

Fumiko stared glumly at the pile of papers on her desk. All of the papers had been signed, stamped and ready to go all too quickly. After all of the excitement that had happened, paper-work was an all too easy and very boring task. The Mizukage wasn’t in the hospital for too long before they had released her. It wasn’t a complete recovery, but she insisted she had to get back to work as soon as possible, even if it mean wearing this itchy, uncomfortable brace around a good portion of her torso.
She was brought out of her self-piteous stupor when there was a sharp knock at the door. Calling out, she allowed the knocker entrance. One of the medical shinobi from the hospital slipped into the office and bowed.
“Milady, the shinobi from the leaf is awake now.” She said softly. Fumiko grinned inwardly and nodded an acknowledgement.
“Thank you Yuri.” She said, standing up awkwardly. Finally, there was something interesting for her to do. The overly concerned medical shinobi followed Fumiko all the way to the hospital, too make sure she didn’t hurt herself or strain anything. The moment they arrived in front of Guro’s room, Fumiko dismissed her with an irritated wave of her hand before she entered the room.
She found Guro in a pitiful looking state. Wires, tubes and all sorts of other odds and ends were hooked up to him. Staring up at the ceiling, he looked utterly bored and helpless. The sight almost made her giggle like a school girl.
“So you’re awake now.” she said, “It’s about time.”

Guro chuckled slightly at Fumiko's remark.
"I don't know how long I was out, so I'll guess from your remark it was a long time. I'm not known for my defense, I'm used to beating my opponents so they don't get a chance to hit me, but I wasn't trying to kill you, so I found that especially difficult."
Guro looked down to the brace Fumiko was wearing.
"Looks like you're not entirely unscathed yourself, must have been doing something right then."
Guro chuckled again, but the chuckle quickly turned to a groan as the movement it caused stung his arms and legs, and Guro was powerless to move to try and relieve it.
"According to the nurse, I'll be here for another day at least, and I can't travel for a day after that, so I guess you're stuck with me a little longer."

Fumiko took a seat next to Guro’s bed, awkwardly lowering herself into the chair. Other than the small bits of hair that were shorter than the rest of her hair, this was the only damage he’d done. Although, she’d have to hand it to him though, it was quite a troublesome injury. It was certainly noticeable and uncomfortable to deal with. The doctors weren’t completely sure of when she’d make a full recovery either.
“Well, it seems you knocked some of the discs in my spine out of place with that kick of yours.” She chuckled, playing with the Velcro on the brace. “So I’ll be out of commission along with you.” It seemed as though the nurse’s prediction may have been a little off on when he’d be out of here. If a simple laugh caused him that much pain, he might be here for a while longer.
“Well, if I’m stuck with you for a while longer, then we may as well get to know each other a little better.” She said after a while. “How about a game of twenty questions? We’ll take turns asking each other questions. Twenty each. You can start.”

Guro chuckled again, it was quieter so he didn't move as much and so it didn't hurt to so great an extent that he needed to groan.
"It's quite an ironic world we live in. As far as I know, we were fighting only half an hour ago, and now we're trying to get to know each other better, ok then, if I'm gonna be starting this off, I'll ask this, how long was I out of it?"
Guro watched the sun streak in from the window, it was pretty low in the sky but had risen from before, so Guro reasoned it was early morning.
